What we do with your data.
Last updated: 5 August 2026
ASAP is operated by ZELABS LTD, company registration no. 9447785, registered in Nigeria. We are responsible for the personal data described here.
This website collects nothing
There is no form on this page, no analytics script, no advertising cookies and no tracking pixel. You can read it without leaving anything behind. Everything below is about the ASAP service itself.
What the service holds about you
Your WhatsApp number, which is how we know who you are. Your email address, once you have confirmed it with a code. Your messages to the agent and its replies to you.
For each errand: what you bought, what it cost, and who it was for. That last part is the phone number you topped up, the meter number you paid, or the smartcard you renewed. We keep it because a receipt without it cannot answer “which meter was that?” six weeks later, which is exactly when somebody asks.
For your credits: every credit and debit, the reference from the payment provider, and where a deposit arrived as USDC, the exchange rate we used. A prepaid electricity token is kept with the purchase that produced it, so it can be shown to you again.
Identity details, and what happens to them
Raising your limits needs a BVN, and a further tier needs a government ID and an address. We ask for each only when it unlocks something for you, and we do not ask for identity documents we have no use for.
Where this actually stands today: the agent does not collect any of them. Raising a limit is arranged with a person, and a BVN given that way goes to our payment provider to open your permanent account number rather than into our database. When the agent does start collecting them, they will be encrypted while we hold them and cleared once the provider has accepted them, and this page will say so before that happens rather than after.
Your messages are read by an AI model
Being direct about this, because it is the part people do not expect. To work out what you are asking for, your messages are sent to Claude, a model operated by Anthropic in the United States, along with enough recent conversation for it to follow the thread.
Deliberately kept out of that: your BVN, any identity document, and your verification code. Those are handled by ordinary code that does not involve the model at all, so they never form part of a prompt.
The model decides what you meant. It never decides a price, never moves money, and never sees your card or bank details, because we never hold those either.
Who else processes it
Meta, for WhatsApp itself, under their own terms. Anthropic, as above. Flutterwave, for naira accounts and transfers. VTpass, who make the actual purchase, and who receive the phone or meter number that the purchase is for. Resend, which sends your verification code and receipts. Neon, which hosts the database, and Amazon Web Services, which hosts the server.
We don’t sell your data and we don’t pass it to advertisers.
Where it’s kept
The server and the database are in the United States (Ohio), so your data is processed outside Nigeria. It is protected by access control and encrypted in transit. Apart from the identity details described above, individual fields are not separately encrypted at rest, which means an ordinary business database is what this is.
How long
Messages and conversation history are kept while your account is open, because the agent needs to remember what you asked for.
Financial records are different, and this is the honest limit on deletion: a ledger of money in and out is something we are required to keep, and it is also the only thing that can settle a dispute about your credits. So if you ask us to delete your account, we remove your messages and contact details and retain the financial record, with as little identifying it as we can manage.
Your rights
Email support@useasap.xyz to ask for a copy of what we hold, to correct it, or to delete your account, and we will confirm when it is done. Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act you may also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
If you joined the waitlist
The waitlist is a separate application at waitlist.useasap.xyz, holding the name, business name, WhatsApp number, email, city and use cases you gave it, along with whether you asked for updates and how you arrived. Those are used to reach you at launch and to decide what to build first. Ask us and we will delete them.
Changes
If this changes, the date at the top changes with it. If the change is significant we will tell you rather than quietly edit the page. See also our terms.
